WATERFALLS OF LOVE

Have you ever seen a waterfall? Waterfalls are beautiful and majestic. The cascading gush of water crashing on the rocks below is a sight to behold. Truly, it is the magnificence of God’s natural architecture. I believe that waterfalls are captivating when the sun sets. As the light of the sun preciously reflects on the surface of the water, the dynamic radiance of various aspects of the falling water is simply breathtaking. As I gaze upon its splendor, the vivacity of the water captures my curiosity and stimulates my feelings of awe.
I’ve often wondered where this robust surge of water comes from. What gives it so much power and vitality? How much water falls? Why does the color change when it begins to rage down the river as it approaches the edge? Conversely, the water changes as it falls onto the rocks. Once the water becomes calm, serene and tranquil the color changes again. God has created the waterfall as a thought, designed as a scheme and built this awesome experience by His word.
The love of God is like a waterfall. His love is continuous, consistent, constant, persistent, diligent, perseverance and is able to move any obstacles in its path. Like water, the love of God has no boundaries. Nothing can stop it. As water races to its edge, it flows through or around many cracks, cervices, holes, rocks, trees and earth. The same is true of God’s love. His love is a force that has its origin in the heart of Christ and it is able to fill the cracks and crevices of life, destroy obstacles and tear down strongholds.
I learned that people praise God because of His love. God’s love surpasses all human understanding. His love endures forever. When I was younger, I watched people praise God and lose themselves in the Spirit by falling to the floor. Regretfully, I found it comical and entertaining. I said to myself, “Aren’t these folks embarrassed?” Later I learned that when you’ve gone through some stuff and life has shaken your sense of being, after you survive, you’ve got a testimony. The testimony gives birth to a praise. These individuals like me fell or has fallen victim to the devil and his tricks. BUT GOD…. God’s love which is like a waterfall has broken through many dangers, toils and snares and has rescued us from death and destruction. Because He is, I am. I am able to stand because of His grace. I am able to walk victoriously. I am able to get up though I’ve fallen. I am able to prosper daily. Why? Because He is… He is the love of my life. He is my healer and defense. He is the strength of my joy. He is my help in the time of trouble.
I believe that King David understood that God’s love is like a waterfall. He knew that there was no end. That the love of God flowed forever. David presented himself before God as an empty vessel so that God could pour His love into him until it overflowed. And when the love overflowed, David has to shout about it. Furthermore, the overflow of love should reach others such as our family, friends and enemies.
Allow God to fill you with His love. When we allow God to pour His love in us like a waterfall, it will rage, fight and conquer any obstacles of the devil. It will make a new path of life and spiritual vitality in our souls. It will bring us joy, peace, patience, meekness, humbleness, diligence, courage, assurance and salvation. God, through His son Jesus loves me, this I know…. Not only because the Bible says so, but because I have experienced it and know it for myself.
