JUST DO IT!

Aristotle once said, "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom." Knowing who you are will determine what you will become. Consider the process of taking a journey. You must first know where you want to go. Second, you must plan a route to take you from where you are to where you want to be. Third, you must access resources that will help you achieve your goal. Finally, take the step into your destiny. You must know that you can make it. With hard work, self-reliance, patience and planning... You can make it. You must know that there is nothing or no one that can stop you from reaching your destination, except you. You stand between your failure and success. You decide whether you are going to get up, should you fall. You decide whether you will get back on track should you take a detour. Life is like a journey where you decide where you want to go and how you are going to get there. Ask Mark Zuckerburg who in his college dormitory created a social network called Facebook. He was born in 1984, created Facebook with five others in 2004 and became the 2nd youngest billionaire in 2012. Ladies and Gentlemen, you and I are global citizens living here in the United States of America where free enterprise, entrepreneurship and fiscal achievement are celebrated. Regardless of your socio-economic, sexual orientation, ethnicity or disability, you have a right to the American dream and it is yours to take it.
Behavioral Science Academic, Author and Speaker Steve Maraboli said that, incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don't. You have control over your life and what you will become. However, you do not control what happens to you. Unfortunate death of a loved one, birth of children, traumatic experiences, and loss of employment or rejection can be bumps in the road or potholes that can take the air out of your tires. However, you do have a choice that after you catch a flat, you can look at the tire and complain or you can pull out your jack, change the tire and move forward. Why? Because your destiny is waiting for you. You have control over how you handle your difficult moments. Your attitude will determine your altitude.
There are two statements that I live by. "Plan your execution, then execute your plan." In other words, know your goals and determine how you can reach them. Then do it! Secondly, "Accuracy is speed!" In other words, if you are accurate and hit your target the first time, the faster you can move on to the next target. If you miss your target, you must take the time to try again. Don’t waste your time getting caught up with trivial matters or the distractions of life. Stay on course to make your dreams a reality. Here in the United States of America, there is nothing stopping you, except you.
